Chop Chop, Sip Sip

In all honesty, I started today out a little on the shaggy side:

But fortunately, Tyler could fit me in at Third & Alder Salon and I am now a much better groomed ladyface:

After a short visit to the salon, Mom and I stopped by Michael’s Bistro in town, where we shared a monster macadamia and coconut cookie (yum!) and a pumpkin date nut bar (double yum!), not to mention steamy coffee. The perfect break on a busy autumn Saturday!

Now off for the long walk (4.5 miles) with the dad. 🙂 It’s weird and cool that walking is an activity we both can do no matter what, since my normal excuse (spinal injury) and his normal excuse (old-age blahs) can sometimes win out over other, more strenuous activities. But today the weather is crisp and I anticipate a lovely walk!

I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog! Sounds like you had a perfectly perfect fall day. And the hair looks great–very polished indeed. Have a great walk!

  2. Why didn’t you tell me you had a blog. I thought you did, you just never told me. I like the trim…. It really was long. Sounds like you had a wonderful fall Saturday with your mom.

Well…I’ve kept a travel blog since 2008 and thought for awhile (partly due to how the accident messed with my lifestyle/confidence) that travel was the only interesting thing about me. But not too long ago, I had a revelation. I realized that it’s ALL the experiences that make me who I am. Travel is one dimension of me but I’ve always found such comfort in reading others’ blogs and thought, why not join the conversation?
