A Yummy, Kiddie-Made Dinner

My 9-year-old neice made dinner for us tonight! She was so excited to share her newfound culinary skill.

To start, the lasagne was delicious, though I’m not certain how healthy 😉 I had two big helpings. Plus tossed green salad and garlic bread.

And for dessert? Fresh fruit dipped in chocolate. She said she added a little raspberry juice to the chocolate for some added zing. I say it’s a great trick – they were great!

Overall, a great evening!

Wow, Terese. That looks delicioso! You know lasagne is my favorite dish! Will she be making it again? Can’t wait to see you soon, love!

Was it boil-first lasagna or bake dry? She must be a very focused 9-year-old! But the fruit looks good and easy for kids. Would be fun to make, too.

I think bake dry. It was from a kids’ cook book she got for Christmas last year. She’s soooooo excited about cooking! (Absolutely no doubt who she gets that from!!)
